McCall Primary's Pet Rescue Club

Monarchs to the Rescue is an after school club for kindergartners and first graders. Pictures

The children have learned a lot about pet care and pet rescue during our first three meetings.  We've had 2 very special guests visit us for our February and March meetings (for more information about the first meeting please see our previous post).  In February, Rhonda Sykes from South Cobb High School talked with the children about proper treatment of pets (i.e. how to pet an animal).  Rhonda started the first pet club in Cobb County Schools at South Cobb and is a volunteer with the homeless pets organization.  She also brought Lexi along with her, so the children could meet our next sponsor pet.  In March, veterinarian Dr. Toby Carmichael came in to discuss how to keep your pet healthy, including amounts to feed and proper toys for large vs. small breeds.  We've taken many pictures from our first three meetings!  Please check out a few below:

New Sponsor Dogs

After the excitement of getting Bingo adopted so quickly, we have decided to sponsor two pets who are looking for homes.  Lexi and Tomasina are hoping to find their forever homes soon!  Please see below for information about both:
